Activities & Adventure

Campsite Pet Policy

We welcome well-behaved, trained dogs to the farm. While pets must be contained and dogs leashed, off-lead stays may be permitted with management approval upon arrival. This is subject to dogs remaining under their owner’s command to ensure a safe experience. Please refer to our Campsite Pets Policy for full details.

Dassiesfontein Farmstall

It is a 35 to 40-minute walk from the gate (or a 5 to 10‑minute drive). This is the best spot to grab essentials like milk and bread, have a sit-down lunch, or browse through their collection of local trinkets. They are open every day of the week from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Local Food & Supplies

The nearby towns of Bot River and Caledon have everything you need for a longer stay, including grocery stores, fuel stations and farmstalls. You can find the Fiore Mini Market in Bot River, while Caledon has larger supermarkets like SPAR and Pick n Pay if you need to do a full shop.

Caledon Laundry Services

If you need to do laundry during your trip, there are two main options located in Caledon. You can use Fast N Fresh, 1 Haw Street (071 926 0723) for full-service washing or Die Wasklip (Wash Zone), 53 Meul Street (072 305 4679), which has standard laundromat facilities.

The Overberg area is full of farmstalls, making it easy to pick up fresh produce or snacks on your way here. If you are coming from the N2, there are plenty of well-known spots where you can stop for coffee, baked goods and picnic supplies before you reach the farm.
